Khalifa University is committed to promoting a safe and environmentally sound campus environment that is conducive to the highest level of education and research. The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) section is responsible for the well being of students, staff and contractors on its campuses, and for the campus environment. The Khalifa University EHS procedure has been developed to meet the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The KU EHS Management System aims to:

  • Secure the health, safety and welfare of employees and contractors on University campuses
  • Protect the public from the health and safety risks of business activities
  • Eliminate workplace risks at the source Involve employers, employees and the organizations that represent them in the formulation
  • Implement health, safety and welfare standards
  • Improve natural resource conservation and management
